Plastics and CCC aspects of plastics in green public procurement

Municipalities are major consumers of plastic products through public procurement. Plastic materials are almost everywhere. In this training session, we will focus on:

• Broader understanding of plastic issue in procurement
• Chemical, circularity and climate aspects of plastics
• Examples of single and multiple use plastic materials in procurement

The session will be divided in two parts:

• Presentation by Anne Anne Lagerqvist, City of Stockholm
• Mutual sharing sessions for municipalities in group setting, facilitated by Ecodesign Competence Centre

The session is designed for procurement officers, sustainability experts and other municipal staff involved in purchasing decisions who want to strengthen their competence on circular procurement within CCC-2 and beyond.
