Practical energy-saving advice for businesses and municipalities at Tartu Entrepreneurship Week
On 9 October 2026, Aparaaditehas in Tartu hosted a seminar on efficient energy use in businesses and local governments as part of Tartu Entrepreneurship Week. The event was organised by the Tartu Regional Energy Agency (TREA) and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the Interreg Baltic Sea Region project Easy Energy.
The seminar focused on measures that can be implemented quickly or with a modest budget. TREA energy experts Martin Kikas and Ülo Kask showed participants how to identify the main savings opportunities using bills and consumption data, and covered heating system settings, simple insulation, lighting, electricity and water use, and consumption monitoring. They also explained how to compare measures by impact, cost and payback time, and introduced the Easy Energy collection of energy-saving solutions.
Participants left with a practical starting point for drawing up an energy efficiency action plan in their own organisations.
