The Daycare in Dąbrowa, a public educational and social building constructed in 1970 and located at Dąbrowa 1, Poland, underwent a large-scale energy efficiency renovation. The works covered a wide range of measures including basement ceiling insulation, brickwork in radiator niches, window replacement, door closers, pipe insulation, smart thermostats, app-based temperature control, and LED lighting.

Additional works included thermal insulation, replacement of installations, mechanical ventilation, air conditioning, underfloor heating, and replacement of door joinery – all carried out on one floor.

Since completion, the building has become more comfortable, cleaner, and produces lower emissions. The institution would implement similar measures again and recommends comprehensive thermal modernisation to others.
