Discover Local Food, Shared Routes and Stories
05 May 2026
The project BASCIL has brought together partners from across eight countries to support local food producers in developing sustainable culinary tourism.
A key result of BASCIL is the creation of joint culinary routes and regional gastro experiences, where local producers collaborate to offer combined tourism products. These routes highlight regional food heritage while strengthening cooperation and visibility across the Baltic Sea region.
During the project, partners produced films and developed online platforms presenting their pilot regions, local businesses, and newly created culinary routes. Both marketing videos and digital platforms have been used as tools to promote local food experiences and attract visitors, showcasing how cooperation and innovation can help transform rural areas into attractive culinary destinations.
