Key focus

Stormwater management and purification while enhancing urban biodiversity.

Description

This urban learning site is located in a green area in central Hedemora, just below a sports field. The site has the potential to serve multiple purposes: treating stormwater, reducing flood risks, enhancing biodiversity, storing carbon, and providing a recreational space for the community.

Most importantly, it offers a space for learning about these ecosystem services—an opportunity to discover the life of a wetland ecosystem, and an opportunity to understand the connection to the Baltic Sea.
