Adding nature-based solutions to our city – how can the NBS model help?

Project: City Blues
Virtual event
The online workshop will focus on how the City Blues NBS model can be used in cities.

Description

The online workshop will focus on how the City Blues NBS model can be used in cities in the Baltic Sea region and beyond for flood and stormwater management.

Nature-based solutions (NBS) are multifunctional measures inspired by nature that address societal challenges. City Blues project has developed an operational model to support the use of these solutions instead of grey infrastructure.

The workshop will present the NBS model and the self-assessment tool that is part of it. It highlights the catchment level approach and stakeholder participation and discusses the future opportunities and challenges in using the NBS model.

The event is aimed at municipalities and other relevant NBS stakeholders in the Baltic Sea region.
