Project partners met in Lübeck to review progress and plan next steps
12 March 2026
Project partners met in Lübeck to review the progress of the project and discuss the next steps in supporting small and medium-sized companies from the Baltic Sea Region in developing international cooperation.
The meeting was hosted by Gateway49 – a startup hub located close to Lübeck’s technical and medical universities. The organisation supports innovative startups and operates within the German innovation ecosystem focused on renewable energy and technology.
During the meeting partners reviewed the results achieved so far. A total of 259 companies have joined the programme, and 55 international matchmaking meetings between companies from different Baltic Sea Region countries have already taken place.
Partners also analysed feedback from participating companies. Early survey results show a strong level of satisfaction among businesses taking part in the programme.
A key focus of the discussion was identifying concrete results emerging from the matchmaking meetings, such as cooperation agreements, joint initiatives or other forms of business collaboration between companies.
The partners also discussed the preparation of a Blueprint, a publication summarising lessons learned during the project, practical tools developed within the programme and recommendations for supporting SME internationalisation in the Baltic Sea Region.
Another topic was the development of a collaboration platform that will allow companies and stakeholders to stay connected and continue networking even after the project ends.
The meeting in Lübeck provided an important opportunity to exchange experiences, assess project achievements and coordinate the next phase of activities supporting cross-border cooperation between companies.
