Meet-Up in Vaasa

13 February 2026
Study Visit in Vaasa
Technical details

From 9 to 11 January 2026, MI-RAP project partner Göteborg & Co visited Vaasa for a study visit, partner exchange, and onboarding of the new MI-RAP partner, the Regional Council of Ostrobothnia. The visit combined internal MI-RAP introduction with meetings across the local cultural and creative ecosystem, including the Regional Council, the City of Vaasa, Visit Vaasa, the cultural venue Ritz Vaasa, and DUNK; a nonprofit music organisation that promotes the musical, social and cultural development of children and young people in Swedish-speaking Finland. These exchanges provided insights into regional development work, cultural infrastructure, and existing networks such as BSR Culture Pearls and Aurora Music Forum, highlighting opportunities to connect MI-RAP results with local initiatives.

Overall, the two days offered a strong onboarding process for the new partner, deepened mutual understanding between organisations, and generated ideas for collaboration, transmission activities, and future exchange within the MI-RAP project.
