Dissemination Event: Reception @ESNS

On Friday, January 16, MI-RAP hosted a focused breakfast reception at the House of Europe during Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen, the Netherlands, bringing together European stakeholders working on music ecosystem development at city and regional level.

The session provided brief insights into current European approaches to strengthening local music ecosystems, followed by an informal meet-and-mingle. This created space to exchange experiences, compare support models, and connect organisations, institutions, and music industry companies. The event was organised in collaboration with the Music Cities Network.

As one of MI-RAP’s associated organsation, the Music Cities Network plays a key role in ensuring the durability of the MI-RAP solutions. Approaches developed within MI-RAP are discussed, reflected on, and further developed through exchange between member cities of the network, supporting long-term uptake beyond the project’s lifetime.

MI-RAP presented its overall approach and concrete solutions for building more resilient music ecosystems, using the exchange to engage in in-depth conversations with relevant institutions and organisations.

As Europe’s leading music industry conference, ESNS offered a particularly strong setting for this format, especially in a year with a clear focus on European cooperation. The breakfast reception was very well received, bringing together both long-standing partners and new, highly interested organisations, and confirming the strong demand for European exchange on music sector development.
