The Riga City Festival 2025

The Riga City Festival 2025 is one of Latvia’s largest public events, held across several city locations.
System tested:
- A decentralized deposit cup system (returns can only be made at the issuing stand). 2 Euro for deposit.
When:
- 16 August 2025
Aim:
The festival served as a testbed to assess whether a decentralized approach would be feasible or whether future events should transition to a centralized model with multiple return points.
