The PPI4cities project proudly participated in Kuntamarkkinat 2025, Finland’s leading municipal fair, held in Helsinki. The event brought together representatives from municipalities, cities, NGOs, and other public sector stakeholders to explore the future of local governance, innovation, and collaboration.

At the heart of PPI4cities’ presence was the PPI4cities platform, a pioneering digital solution designed to support Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) in urban development. The platform was showcased to a wide audience of municipal decision-makers, procurement professionals, and innovation advocates, highlighting its potential to transform how cities and communities engage with innovative suppliers and solutions.

“Kuntamarkkinat provided an excellent opportunity to connect with the very stakeholders who can benefit most from PPI4cities,” said Minna Säpyskä-Aalto, Senior Specialist and partner of the PPI4cities project. “We were thrilled to demonstrate how our platform can help municipalities tackle complex challenges through smarter, innovation-driven procurement.”

The PPI4cities booth featured live demonstrations, discussions and case studies illustrating how the platform facilitates collaboration between public authorities and innovative companies. Attendees expressed strong interest in adopting the platform to enhance sustainability, efficiency, and citizen-centric services in their regions.

Kuntamarkkinat was an important event for PPI4cities as it continues to expand its reach and impact across Europe. The project team looks forward to deepening partnerships with Finnish municipalities and supporting their journey toward more innovative and resilient communities.
