Climate-Neutral & Regenerative Tourism – a strategic priority for cities

Project: RegenT
Virtual event
This session will present the best practices from two major initiatives in sustainable tourism.

Description

A session of Interactive parallel workshops I at XVIII UBC General Conference in Dolina Charlotty, Poland

As cities across the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) face the twin challenges of climate change and sustainable economic development, tourism can be both a driver of environmental impact and a tool for climate action. Cities have an opportunity to align tourism strategies with the European Green Deal while tapping into new EU financial instruments.

  • RegenT (Regenerative Tourism) – emphasising how tourism can go beyond sustainability to actively restore natural and cultural assets.
