In 3–6 June 2025, the city of Aarhus, Denmark, hosted the International Interdisciplinary Conference on Land Use and Water Quality (LuWQ2025), one of the leading forums for discussing the impacts of agriculture and land use on water quality. The event brought together researchers, water managers, and policy makers to exchange knowledge and explore solutions for protecting groundwater and surface waters.

Soil Properties Shape Gypsum Efficiency

Among the 142 oral and 73 poster presentations, the GYPREG project was featured with a poster exploring how soil characteristics affect the efficiency of gypsum in reducing nutrient leaching. The topic is part of Khaleda Begum’s PhD research at the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke), and it contributes to a better understanding of how soil–gypsum interactions can support sustainable water quality management.
The GYPREG poster is available for download from the Project’s website. All conference presentations will also be published on the LuWQ2025 website in October 2025.
