
Interreg Cooperation Day @ Finland

The event’s morning session (Meaningful collaboration) target was to show how Interreg succeeds in building cooperation. The morning session was opened by the Petri Haapalainen from the ministry of economic affairs and employment, and it focused on connections and collaboration with showcases of projects and dialog of synergies, cooperation opportunities in Interreg projects and panel session on impact of Interreg funding.
The afternoon session (Looking ahead to the next programme period) was opened by the minister of European affairs and Ownership Steering, Joakim Strand and there was a speaker from DG Regio (Petri Koistinen). Our minister Joakim Strand had a quite long working history of Interreg world in his former working career. He encouraged our seminar participants continue this meaningful & value- added work in coming program period.

Success stories from Interreg funded projects and collaboration and how this impact of value -added values of companies and institutions which has been part of program.

The role of Interreg programmes in Finland, it was mentioned on during the panel sessions that there is a lot of appreciate work what has been done in Finland past Interreg programs. We can underline that coming project follow on this same stories.
Cooperation days brings together project actors and various stakeholders, and throughout the day discussion will focus on impact of cross-border cooperation within the European Union. This event offers a unique opportunity to network, share experiences, and build impactful cooperation through Interreg programmes.
There was also a possibility to see ongoing projects in the stand table, where our Greenindustrialareas project’s flyers and certification standard were presented.
