“Easy Energy” at the Climate Conference for Socio-Cultural Institutions in Hamburg
10 June 2025
On May 14, 2025, a “Dialogue on Climate Protection Promotion and Practical Approaches” took place at the St. Michaelis Community Center in Hamburg under the motto “Socioculture for a Better Climate.”
The event was organized by the Climate Protection and Economic Development Office and the Social Space Management of the Hamburg-Mitte District Office and was open to all Hamburg socio-cultural institutions, from which around 50 representatives participated.
After three short presentations, including one by Lars Beckmannshagen (ZEBAU) on climate change mitigation strategies and simple energy-saving options, participants took advantage of the market of opportunities for lively exchange at a total of nine themed stations. The “Easy Energy” project was also presented with a poster. Afterwards, participants divided into three groups discussed current situations, goals, and possible measures in their respective topic areas. The socio-cultural institutions were offered involvement, further support, and (on-site) advice on “simple energy-saving measures” as part of the “Easy Energy” project.
