Description

We are pleased to invite you to HyTruck Breakfast Briefing, which will be held as an online Teams event on Monday 5th of May 2025 from 11:00 to 12:00 (CET). Our host and project partner, the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has invited Dr. Tom Rückborn, Project manager at Wind Energy Network e.V.; Philipp Houschka-Hering, Energy and Regional Development of WM MV and Franz Oldopp, Project Engineer at Zukunft Grüne Gase Brandenburg (ZGGB).

During the first half of the session, Dr. Rückborn will have a presentation on “Hydrogen Initiatives in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania – Present and Future”. The Wind Energy Network association aims to establish the Rostock and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region as a leading hub for wind energy expertise in Germany by fostering cooperation, promoting sector's economic importance, and supporting both existing and new companies.

During the second part, Mr. Houschka-Hering and Mr. Oldopp will introduce the Interreg Project Green Industrial Areas (GIA) and the PtX project Lübesse Energie. The GIA project empowers public authorities to increase the share of smart and climate-neutral industrial areas by developing a transnational certification standard and guidelines for energy transition. This initiative, aligned with the EU's "Green Industrial Deal", aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy dependency through shared resources and enhanced energy efficiency. In addition, Lübesse Energie will use locally generated green electricity in a PtX plant producing green LNG as fuel for the transportation sector, at the same time recovering the waste heat through a local district heating network.

HyTruck Breakfast Briefing is planned as monthly occurring event, meant to work as a transnational exchange channel for information related to hydrogen fueled heavy road transport and hydrogen refueling stations. The Breakfast Briefings aim to distribute and share this information to all parties interested in hydrogen-powered mobility and refueling infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region and in European level.
