SOUND AND LIGHT PRODUCTION IN MUSIC INDUSTRY

18 February 2025
Technical details
The Municipal Center for Culture in Bydgoszcz has successfully implemented its first pilot.
The prepared course is a response to the needs of the music market for qualified multimedia and studio and stage maintenance workers, and is in line with the idea of creative industries.
The course combines all the necessary aspects and planes needed to function independently in the market. The program was developed based on the International Education Program for the profession of studio and sound technician, and has been expanded to include a lighting segment.
In addition to theoretical classes in sound and light theory, as well as purely technical and musical aspects, participants will be equipped with knowledge of the market state of the music industry, running their own business, using copyrights and related rights, and supporting personal predispositions, abilities and artistic talents.
The course began on January 18 and is being implemented in two modules: theoretical, which will last until March 15, and practical. The entire course will conclude at the end of April with a practical exam. Our students work in a small group of eighteen, so we can profile their individual interests and stimulate their creativity in their chosen course areas.
Classes are held in several key locations in Bydgoszcz, i.e. the spaces of the City Cultural Center, the Music Academy and the most important audio – video recording studios belonging to the project partners.
