Future Plans
Cowork Nordmøre plans to continue collaborating with local and international partners to strengthen the region’s position as an attractive place for remote work. By implementing tools and methods from Distance LAB and Norce, they hope to create an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and growth.
The meeting was held at Campus Kristiansund, a new hub for higher education, research, and innovation in the heart of Kristiansund. 7 project managers from 7 different remote cowork projects had co-creation and digital remote work on the agenda.
Distance LAB supports organizations in fully leveraging remote work by providing tools and methods to improve communication, innovation, sustainability, and business strategy. This enables companies to enhance their remote work practices and benefit from advantages such as better work-life balance, increased efficiency, and access to global talent.
Research by Norce indicates that remote work can be more effective in coworking spaces than at home. By colocating employees across industries, the benefits of remote work can be maximized for both private companies and public institutions. The report highlights the importance of trust between managers and employees, as well as the use of technology to support collaboration and productivity.
Rural Cowork in Møre and Romsdal is policy instrument for Møre og Romsdal County to attract people to live and work in the region.
