During the summer time the representatives of the Baltic Sustainable Boating 2030 project were active in various places and on various fora to foster the dialogue on sustainable boating in the Baltic Sea Region.

16th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum, Oulu
The 16th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum took place on June 4-5, 2024, in the coastal city of Oulu, Finland. This the BSTF forum focused on cultural and culinary tourism, cycling, and coastal tourism.

The BSB2030 project by promoting the Sustainable Boating Vision connected with coastal tourism development trends in the panel dialogue focusing on the role of the marinas and their potential to grow in the Baltic Sea region – “Marinas – inclusive meeting points for boaters and land tourists”. The contributions of local communities are vital for developing marinas as vibrant places, attracting both marine and land tourists, was highlighted during the interactive discussions. This policy dialogue process is an integral part of the co-creation of the Roadmap for Sustainable Boating in the Baltic Sea region.

At the event the Project was represented by the Ugis Zanders from the CBSS secretariat.
