PV4ALL and SoliSolar at the citizens' festival on German Unity Day 2023 in Hamburg
30 October 2023
On 2nd October, the Hamburg PV4ALL team was represented together with the initiative SoliSolar Hamburg e.V. with an information booth on the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz in Hamburg city centre. This year’s festivities were themed Opening Horizons and the PV4ALL booth was part of the Hamburg International area, right next to the Country Mile on Mönckebergstraße.
The EU project PV4ALL is implemented by the Lawaetz Foundation and ZEBAU in Hamburg and aims to inform different groups of the population about the advantages of photovoltaic systems and to let them benefit from them. SoliSolar is a non-profit association from Hamburg that wants to promote the energy transition on a small scale, through so-called balcony power plants. SoliSolar is one of the first solar self-building communities in Hamburg, where the focus is on public benefit and sustainability. With the help of the PV4ALL partners Lawaetz Foundation and ZEBAU citizens could get advice and information about photovoltaic systems, subsidies, etc. from the SoliSolar experts at the booth.
With the PV4ALL booth, the project was able to provide information and explain the potential of photovoltaic systems not only to people from Hamburg but from all over Germany at the festivities in the city centre. In particular, a light-weight PV module was able to attract numerous interested citizens.
All in all, the Citizens’ festival on the Day of German Unity in Hamburg was a great success, where PV4ALL together with SoliSolar was able to advise and educate many people on small-scale PV.
