Supported by Nature at the 5th World Congress of Biosphere Reserves in China

The 5th World Congress of Biosphere Reserves brought together over 2,000 participants from across the globe to shape the future of UNESCO’s 750+ biosphere reserves. We’re proud that Supported by Nature was represented during the congress!

Held every ten years, this high-level event is a milestone for the global biosphere network — setting new priorities, fostering collaboration, and defining a Global Action Plan.

 

 

Lars Korn from the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve represented the project at the exhibition booth, sharing insights on nature-based solutions and our collaborative work with the Learning sites with an international audience.

 

 

Also attending were Johanna MacTaggart, Project Strategist, and Toomas Kokovkin from the West Estonian Archipelago Biosphere Reserve, helping amplify the project’s visibility and building connections with global biosphere practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
