Technical details

This exchange trip built on last year’s successful collaboration with Swedish partners and continued to strengthen international learning across biosphere regions.

Practical learning and peer-to-peer exchange

The farmers explored best practice examples in land management and nature-based solutions, deepening their understanding of sustainable agriculture and conservation methods. Equally important, they shared their own practical knowledge during interactive workshops, contributing valuable hands-on insights to the project.

Farmers: Key stakeholders for nature-based solutions

With their deep local knowledge, professional expertise, and access to land ideal for conservation efforts, farmers are key actors in implementing nature-based solutions. This visit emphasized the central role farmers play in shaping sustainable landscapes across the Baltic region.

Reflections from the Trip

Participants described the trip as a very positive experience, highlighting not only the technical know-how of their Polish hosts but also their warm hospitality. The visit sparked new ideas and strengthened cross-border collaboration, laying the groundwork for continued cooperation in sustainable land use.
