From Classroom to Fieldwork – A Student’s Journey with Supported by Nature
04 November 2025
What started as a search for hands-on experience became something much bigger. Nelli explored nature-based solutions through real project work – from creating dragonfly ID cards for schoolchildren, to researching ocean literacy, to summarizing event data and editing interviews.
“Supported by Nature has been a meaningful part of my studies,” says Nelli. “I’ve learned so much about how projects work in real life, and it’s great to feel trusted and supported by the team.”
Now she’s preparing to write her thesis – and wants to continue working with Supported by Nature. A great example of how engaging students strengthens both learning and real-world impact.
Huge thanks to Nelli for sharing her story – and for all the work you’ve done in the project!
