First SEABAS steering committee meeting held last week

The first steering committee meeting took place on 3 March online. The steering committee, represented by a member from each partner organization, is a guidance group to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

During the meeting, the overall feedback from the steering committee was encouraging and the committee was pleased with the progress. The project is on track to deliver its first commitments in June. The first deliverable to be published is the scoping report led by Gdynia Maritime University.

Next steering group meeting will be help on 1 September online. By then, the scoping report has been published, and   the work of SEABAS continues with the next deliverables.

Project SEABAS aims to improve the integration of Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and Cumulative Impact Assessments (CIA) into Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) to incorporate the environmental aspect even better into Maritime Spatial Planning.
