Project partners meet up in Gdańsk
08 November 2024
The meeting was hosted by Gdynia Maritime University who showed some true Polish hospitality during these two interesting and fun days!
On the agenda were pilot updates, including how to proceed on the next round of test fishing planned for spring 2025. Also partners discussed where and when to catch samples for the contamination analysis, which the project partner BIOR will perform.
Partners also reported on the development of round goby food products, for both humans and their furry best friends. TFTAK presented on the sensory testing and the partners had the opportunity to taste some dried round goby chips – a traditional Estonian beer snack. KTU and Baltijos Konservai, that are currently developing canned, minced round goby products, organised an impromptu tasting session. Partners were encouraged to try and rate four different prototypes, and give feedback for further product development.
Our Swedish partners also presented their first cooking endeavour, including yummy round goby burgers and a chef team from Kalmar Kommun cooking up some tasty round goby dishes – stay tuned as you will hear more from Kalmar soon!
Partners also engaged in stakeholder mapping and planning the year ahead – identifying what events to attend to reach the most relevant stakeholders
The RoundGoby project is buzzing with activity so stay tuned for more news!
