17 March 2026
During the Plant Protection Conference – 65th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – National Research Institute, held under the theme Plant protection – experience of generations and a vision for the future, Prof. Małgorzata Jędryczka (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences) presented IPestSpace – a new system for plant disease identification using eDNA and machine learning.
Technical details

The presentation addressed research topics developed within the PestSpace project, highlighting innovative approaches to plant disease detection that combine environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis with machine learning. These methods support more effective monitoring and early detection of plant pathogens, contributing to sustainable agriculture.

Prof. Jędryczka received a certificate of participation in recognition of her contribution and dissemination of the project results. The conference took place in Poznań on 11–12 February 2026.
