25 May 2026

Technical details

During the meeting, the partners reviewed the outcomes of the PestSpace consortium meeting held in Poznań, Poland, in late April. They also discussed laboratory protocols and logistics in Finland, as well as field sampling and monitoring plans for the 2026 growing season.

An important topic was the integration of the PestSpace Alert System into Finnish monitoring activities to maximise the benefits of the system for local fieldwork and disease management.

Workshops like this are essential for interdisciplinary projects such as PestSpace. The project brings together experts from agronomy, agroecology, fungal science, taxonomy, and molecular biology. Meeting face-to-face helps the partners coordinate their activities and work towards a common goal.
