Green Plants, Shared Data, New Connections – The Pest Space Stand at EU Green Week in Lublin
09 June 2026
The event also provided an excellent opportunity for another meeting with Pest Space stakeholders, enabling us to exchange experiences, discuss project progress, and collect feedback that will support the development of the Pest Common Data Space.
One thing that made our stand stand out was all the greenery. We wanted visitors to experience a small piece of the environment we work with every day, so we brought plants along to demonstrate the practical context of collecting and sharing plant health data. The plants attracted plenty of attention and helped start many engaging discussions.
On Friday (29th of May), we welcomed visitors at the Faculty of Chemistry of UMCS.In an interactive and welcoming atmosphere, we presented the Pest Space project, its objectives, and key tools – PlutoF and PlutoF GO – which support the collection, management, and sharing of data on plant pests and pathogens.
On Saturday (30th of May), we moved to the UMCS Botanical Garden, where we continued presenting the project while also taking part in guided tours and networking activities with conference participants.
Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to meet researchers, academic lecturers, students, practitioners, and stakeholders interested in plant health, pest monitoring, and data-sharing solutions for the Baltic Sea Region.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, shared their insights, and showed interest in the Pest Space project. Such meetings are an invaluable source of feedback and inspiration for the further development of our common data space.
