OpenRisk II Showcases Baltic Sea Risk Management Tools at EUSBSR Forum in Visby
04 November 2024
The OpenRisk II project participated last week in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Annual Forum 2024 in Visby, showcasing its work at the event’s Networking Village. The forum gathered stakeholders from across the region to discuss collaborative initiatives aimed at protecting the Baltic Sea, enhancing regional connectivity, and promoting economic prosperity.
Plenary sessions focused on critical issues, including efforts to build resilient transport systems across the Baltic Sea region in response to evolving geopolitical challenges and shifting risk landscapes.
Taking these issues into account, OpenRisk II has developed tools to support maritime administrations in bolstering risk assessment and risk management across the region. These tools aim to improve safety and security for Baltic Sea maritime operations.
The OpenRisk II team announced plans for a OpenRisk II Mid-term Conference in Tallinn, Estonia, in spring 2025, where the tools will be piloted with end-users.
