In this edition, we share exciting updates from the Light in the Dark project as we pass the halfway point of our journey.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find:

  • Highlights from the transnational piloting phase, where 36 pilots are being tested across the Northern Baltic Sea Region to refine innovative low-season tourism products.
  • A recap of the February webinar “Low Season Travel – Harnessing the Magic of Darkness and Dark Skies,” which brought together 365 participants from 11 countries.
  • Insights from the VIII Estonian Nature Tourism Conference, where 310 participants explored strategies for year-round tourism in rural and nature-based destinations.
  • A look ahead to the launch of our experience design handbook and media bank this October.
  • A feature on how the project is reframing darkness and silence as tourism assets, positioning the Baltic Sea as the “Northern Mediterranean.”

We wish all our partners and stakeholders a successful summer season and encourage you to use this time to promote the low season!
