French-Ukrainian Collaboration for Better Food Access Exchanges with KISMET
09 April 2025
KISMET is pleased to welcome the French-Ukrainian cooperation project “For Better Access to Local Food” to share their insights, knowledge, and experience with the KISMET partnership on Thursday, 10 April at 9:00 CET.
Presented under the title “The Promotion of Organic Products in Public Procurement”, the project highlights a successful case study from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region (France). Its core aim is to support Lviv oblast (Ukraine) in sustaining agricultural production and securing food access—especially in challenging times—by encouraging the use of organic and locally sourced products in collective catering, such as schools and public institutions.
This cross-border initiative is a collaborative effort, funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region. It is implemented by a dedicated consortium of organizations: INTERBIO Nouvelle-Aquitaine, INTERCO Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Organic Initiative Public Association (Ukraine), and Ecoterra Lviv City Public Organization (Ukraine).
KISMET is excited to facilitate this exchange and looks forward to the mutual learning it will bring to the wider partnership.
