A Scalable and Transferable Solution
The partnership developed the new website as a transferable format of the solution, ensuring universal relevance for all target groups. It incorporates materials, actions and tools derived from the eight pilot projects and is further enriched by local data collection and stakeholder input.
The platform provides a comprehensive framework for advancing circular and sustainable food systems, integrating governance, demand-side, and supply-side strategies. It offers concrete tools for leadership, engagement, and the integration of quadruple helix actors through collaboration models, inclusive knowledge hubs, and tailored communication plans. Additionally, it supports demand-side drivers by equipping promoters, buyers, and facilitators with strategies such as public procurement approaches to create sustainable food environments. On the production side, the platform connects circular and sustainability-oriented actors, fostering innovative product development, business case creation, and technological advancements. By offering inspiration, proven methodologies, and targeted guidance, the platform empowers local authorities, businesses, and entrepreneurs to drive meaningful change in food systems.
With the support of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme, KISMET is committed to providing practical solutions that drive meaningful change.

About KISMET
The European Union has recognized the urgency of transforming food systems to address pressing health, environmental, and climate challenges. However, local and regional authorities often struggle to find the necessary resources and innovative solutions to drive change. KISMET, a project dedicated to reshaping food production and consumption in urban and regional environments, has gathered thirteen partner organizations, various associated partners, and engaged stakeholders to empower authorities to drive the meaningful change through governance, demand-side, and supply-side drivers. Our goal is to reshape consumer behavior, foster circular economies, and regionalize food chains for climate neutrality.
