Energy Circle Project Consortium Meets in Schwerin, Germany to Advance Circular Energy Solutions
15 November 2025
This two-day event marked an important step in the ongoing efforts of the consortium to promote circular approaches for achieving energy independence in businesses and local communities across the Baltic Sea region.
The first day began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the meeting agenda by the host organization. The consortium then participated in three interactive workshops focused on two key topics: the Development of the Competency Profile and Solution 1 – Methodology for Energy Circle Builders.
On the second day, participants continued their collaborative work, this time focusing on Solution 2 – Methodology for the Energy Circle Roadmap. The agenda also featured two insightful presentations by external energy experts, offering valuable perspectives on sustainable energy practices and circular economy implementation.
A special highlight of the meeting was the visit to a local wind turbine near Schwerin. Project partners had the unique opportunity to climb 220 steps to the top of the 80-meter-high turbine, where they enjoyed breathtaking views and reflected on the power of renewable energy in action.
The consortium’s next offline meeting will be held in Jelgava, Latvia, on 3–4 April 2026.
