CliNeDest partner meeting in Tallinn set the steps for piloting Climate Smart Toolkit with tourism companies

Soon more than 100 companies in eight BSR destinations will pilot a toolbox for more sustainable tourism. The final pieces of the planning were put in place in the Climate Neutral Destinations project partner meeting in Tallinn on 3-5 December 2025.

In the first pilot in spring 2026, CliNeDest eight partner destinations will organise workshops for tourism companies in their destinations to try out:

✅ Carbon calculator – to measure and understand emissions
✅ Data into action – how to turn numbers into a sustainable business plan
✅ Tailor-made AI assistant – a sparring partner for climate work

Participating companies get both the tools, as well as support to get started with carbon calculation, planning and AI-driven insights.

The partner meeting in Tallinn was full of discussions and inspirational workshops. Joint guidelines for the testing of the Climate Smart Toolkit with companies were finalised and eight partner destinations are ready to start!
