Climate-4-CAST Consortium Meeting in Bytom: Finalising the CADS Tool and Next Steps

From 21–23 April, partners of the Climate-4-CAST project gathered in Bytom, Poland, for an in-person consortium meeting, marking another important step as the project moves into its final phase.

The main outcome of the meeting was the finalisation of the Climate Action Decision Support (CADS) Tool for climate budgeting and its Operationalisation Guidelines. This represents a key milestone of the project, in supporting cities to better assess the impacts of climate actions and integrate climate considerations into budgeting and decision-making processes.

In addition, partners discussed the ongoing Climate Budget Training Course and the upcoming Climate Budget Summit, which will take place in October 2026. These activities aim to bring together cities and stakeholders to showcase project results and further advance cities’ efforts towards their climate goals.

Beyond these key developments, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity for exchange and coordination among partners as they prepare for the final stage of the project.
