Technical details

From 11 to 13 May, the Climate-4-CAST project participated in the 17th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) in Tallinn, Estonia. This year’s forum was titled “Co-Governing Resilience: Shaping Secure, Connected and Thriving Societies”, with a particular focus on how resilience is key to achieving regional security and shared prosperity in the Baltic Sea Region.

The Climate-4-CAST project directly contributes to the EUSBSR Policy Area (PA) Energy. The project strengthens transnational cooperation on energy transition and climate action, providing cities with a concrete tool to facilitate the implementation of climate mitigation measures. The Forum, the main regional event of the year, provided a great opportunity to highlight this connection. As a result, the Climate-4-CAST project was in the spotlight at the PA Energy stand in the Networking Village in Tallinn.

The Annual Forum was of great benefit to Climate-4-CAST, enabling connections with specialists, decision-makers and local leaders who are dedicated to promoting climate action. The Climate-4-CAST team demonstrated the project’s role and contribution in supporting energy transition and sustainable development across the Baltic Sea Region through engaging discussions and shared insights. They also highlighted its contributions to the shared climate and sustainability goals that unite the EUSBSR community.

The event is funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme, the City of Tallinn and the Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat.
