Deploying circular economy in port environments
Circular Ports

The project showcased at the Baltic Ports Conference 2026

14 September 2026
Circular Ports was showcased at the Baltic Ports Conference 2026 in Turku on 3–4 September. The conference brought together port and maritime industry professionals from across the Baltic Sea Region to discuss current developments and the future of the port sector.

The two-day programme covered a wide range of topics, from the green transition and resilience to new technologies and digitalisation. One takeaway from the conference was just how many developments are shaping ports at the same time. This also makes port environments interesting places for new ideas and, of course, circular solutions.

Circular Ports was present at the conference with project materials introducing the project and its six pilot activities around the Baltic Sea Region. The event provided a great opportunity to raise awareness of the project and discuss how circular economy approaches can be put into practice in port environments.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed interest in Circular Ports and our work! Special thanks to our project partner Baltic Ports  Organization for organising the conference and to the Port of Turku for hosting the event.
