Circular Ports Presented at the UNU Hub Meeting in Hamburg

The UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change — hosted by Hamburg University of Technology in partnership with the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health — acts as a gateway between academia and the UN, fostering joint research, innovation, and education on engineering solutions to tackle climate change.
Technical details

The second meeting of the UNU Hub took place on 3 November, gathering Hub members to exchange on ongoing developments, new research clusters, and international collaboration initiatives. During the event’s poster session, 30 PhD students showcased their work, among them Elvira Akhmadieva’s poster about Circular Ports.
As part of the session, she presented the Circular Ports project’s methodology for deploying circular economy principles in port environments, demonstrating how ports can become drivers of innovation and sustainability across industrial sectors.
