We were honoured to contribute to the roundtable “How Regional Institutions Enhance Societal Resilience in the Baltic Area: Disinformation, Resilience, Public Trust”, alongside the partners from the BSR Cultural Pearls project — including representatives from the Council of the Baltic Sea States, the Land of Schleswig-Holstein, the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC), and the Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Our discussion focused on the vital role of regional institutions in building societal resilience through culture — strengthening social cohesion, trust, and civic engagement, particularly in the face of growing disinformation and the ongoing war in Ukraine. We were proud to showcase the BSR Cultural Pearls project, co-funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region, which supports small and medium-sized towns in using culture strategically to foster inclusion, wellbeing, and long-term resilience.

A huge thank you to the Centre for Geopolitics at the University of Cambridge and the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) for hosting such a well-organised and inspiring event.
