Kaskinen Celebrates Cultural Pearl Award with Festive Public Event

The town of Kaskinen/ Kaskö came alive on the evening of 16 June, 2025 as residents and visitors gathered in the town square to celebrate a special cultural milestone: city’s official awarding as a Baltic Sea Region Cultural Pearl.
The event, organized in cooperation with the Port of Kaskinen, kicked off at with a lively public festival. The highlight of the evening was the formal presentation of the Cultural Pearl award, delivered by Felix Schartner Giertta project manager of the BSR Cultural Pearls project representing the Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat (CBSS).
The celebration continued with a diverse cultural program, culminating with a high-energy performance by renowned Finnish artist Krista Siegfrids & Band.
With this award, Kaskinen joins a growing network of small and mid-sized municipalities across the Baltic Sea Region working to strengthen social resilience by cultural means in their town, and foster regional cooperation.
