BALTIPLAST Joined the EU Green Week 2023
26 June 2023
Collaborating closely, Lead Partner HAW Hamburg and Project Partner 12 Baltic Environmental Forum Germany introduced an engaging initiative called the Plastic Free Challenge. This event served as a platform to present the BALTIPLAST project and highlight its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the event, students and professors had the opportunity to explore the interconnectedness between the SDGs and initiatives fostered by projects like BALTIPLAST. The discussions revolved around the importance of addressing plastic waste issues and the positive impact it can have on the environment.
The participants gained valuable insights into the significance of individual actions in reducing plastic waste. They received practical tips on preventing the use of single-use plastics in their households. Moreover, through interactive activities and hands-on experiments, students learned how to create their own plastic waste-free hygiene products using simple ingredients.
By actively engaging the academic community and fostering a culture of sustainability, BALTIPLAST, and its partners demonstrated the tangible steps that can be taken to move towards a circular economy and implement SDGs. This event served as a catalyst for inspiring young minds to become advocates for plastic waste reduction and to contribute to a greener plastic-free future.
