	Capitalising EU-Funded Project Results for Climate-Resilient Coastal Planning

The Baltic PlaNet project platform brings together coastal municipalities to unify their responses to extreme weather events through joint spatial planning, offering practical tools, training, and peer exchange to protect natural and urban areas.
Baltic PlaNet capitalises on the knowledge and tools provided by 12 EU-funded projects, offering a suite of methods, tools, and ready-to-apply strategies in the field of climate change adaptation.
Project Results Capitalised by Baltic PlaNet
- Beach-SOSÂ Adaptation pathways guidelines and climate-smart indicators will be used for training coastal planners and integrated into the Baltic PlaNet indicator framework
- Baltic Sea2Land provides the Sea2Land Navigator with its Multi-level governance Tool, Data Hub, and Knowledge Hub. Adapted for Baltic PlaNet’s needs
- Land-Based Planners’ Forum offers stakeholder mapping, survey results on challenges and needs, and comparative planning system analysis
- eMSP NBSR – project’s Communities of Practice (CoP) approach and climate-smart strategies will be adopted
- Policy Area Spatial Planning Support – the MSP Planners’ Forum will be used to disseminate Baltic PlaNet results and advance climate adaptation
- Northern European Sea Basins project – synergy will be achieved through expert exchanges, leveraging the project’s focus on governance challenges and climate change
- MSP-GREEN Recommendations related to coastal systems will be used to integrate climate hazard resilience into the platform
- LATEST adapt methodologies for spatial flood risk, overheating risk analysis, and nature-based solution monitoring will be used to improve the Sea2Land Navigator’s content for climate hazard resilience planning
- CliMaLoc Handbook for Local Climate Change Adaptation Planning in the BSR
- SMART PLANNING a cross-border stakeholder network and a Handbook for Cross-border Planning
- Land-Sea-Act Multi-level Governance Agenda MLGA) for Blue Economy and spatial planning
