BalMarGrav: 20th on-line meeting

The 20th on-line meeting of the BalMarGrav project was held on June 27, 2024 and brought together 12 participants from among the Project Partners and Associated Organizations. At the beginning of the meeting Sander Varbla (TalTech, Estonia) has presented his results and conclusions on gridding of historical marine gravity data for developing the homogenized source. The new sources of the NKG gravity DB have been added to the BalMarGrav licence for validation and also homogenization. It was agreed that description of homogenized source will be prepared by Monika Wilde-Piórko (IGiK, Poland) and send for an approval to the owners of used historical sources. Next, Monika Wilde-Piórko (IGiK, Poland) has reported that the abstract presenting the results of the project has been accepted by the GHS2024 “Gravity, Geoid and Height Systems 2024” Symposium, which will take place on August 4-6, 2024 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Later, it was held a discussion on an opportunity of funding a new project from the HORIZON-CL3-2024-BM-01-02 call.
