Arts on Prescription Shortlisted for European Social Services Awards 2026
11 September 2026
The award recognises innovative partnerships between public authorities and across sectors that have demonstrated outstanding collaboration to improve social services and deliver better outcomes for individuals and communities.
The nomination recognises the strong cross-sector and transnational collaboration that has been at the heart of Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region and the partnership’s efforts to promote arts-based approaches to mental health and well-being.
Mayor for Social Affairs in the City of Odense, Søren Windell, welcomes the nomination:
“We are very delighted and honoured to be shortlisted for the European Social Services Awards. For the City of Odense, this recognition reflects the strength of collaboration across sectors, both locally and throughout the Baltic Sea Region. It is a tribute to the commitment, innovation and shared vision of all project partners who have worked together to advance Arts on Prescription and demonstrate its value across different communities and countries. While we are proud of what the partnership has achieved so far, we are equally committed to continuing our joint efforts to scale and mainstream Arts on Prescription across Europe.”
The nomination comes at a time when Arts on Prescription continues to grow beyond the project’s formal lifetime. Several partners are already building on the project’s results through new initiatives, local implementation efforts and international collaboration. Together, these activities help ensure that the benefits of Arts on Prescription remain accessible to citizens across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond
The winners of the European Social Services Awards 2026 will be announced at the awards ceremony in Rome, Italy, on 19 November 2026. Until then, the nomination itself stands as an important recognition of the project’s impact and the dedication of the partnership behind it.
