VEG-GET-ABLE Chest for Multigenerational Planting

The chest for multigenerational planting is an innovative planting chest designed to common gardening activities among multiple generations,
including children and individuals using wheelchairs. The chest is designed with accessibility and inclusivity at its core, featuring an
extendable standing platform for children and an adjustable height to accommodate wheelchair users. This planter chest not only enhances the gardening experience by making it accessible to everyone, but also promotes social interaction, learning, and a sense of community through
shared activities. It is ideal for parks and community centers looking to offer inclusive recreational activities.

The chest for multigenerational planting operates through a simple yet effective design that prioritizes accessibility and ease of use.
1. Setup: The planter chest is ready assembled.
• Extendable platform: The special extendable standing platform for children is hidden within a drawer-like compartment. It can be easily pulled out when needed, providing a stable and safe standing area for children to engage in planting activities.
2. Planting: The chest includes sections that can be filled with soil for planting. Users can plant seeds, water plants, and perform other gardening activities together.
• Accessibility: The chest’s design ensures that all tools and planting areas are within reach for users of all ages and mobility levels.
• Community engagement: The planter chest can be placed in communal areas to encourage group gardening activities, fostering social interaction and community building.
