Kultur på recept & Social Prescribing

Project: Arts on Prescription
Physical Meeting
Regional/National Transfer Conference on the topic of Arts on Prescription and Social Prescribing

Description

Odense Municipality and the University of Southern Denmark invite you to an inspiring day on culture and health.
We are bringing together decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners from Denmark and abroad to discuss Arts on Prescription and Social Prescribing as pathways to addressing the growing mental health crisis.

Among the speakers, you will meet Charlotte Osborn-Ford, CEO of the National Academy of Social Prescribing in England, who will reveal why England has invested billions in social prescribing and integrated it into its healthcare system, and Elsebeth Gerner Nielsen, Strategic Director at Sangens Hus, who has ambitions to establish a national culture and health alliance in Denmark.

We have two major themes on the agenda:

  1. How do we create a health and welfare system where arts and culture are prioritised as part of the solution? How do we move from pilot projects to scaling up and delivering sustainable programmes? What role do political support, strategic partnerships, and the building of an evidence base play?
  2. What are the underlying causes of the current mental health crisis? And how can Social Prescribing and Arts on Prescription contribute to promoting mental wellbeing, offering new avenues for prevention and treatment?

Throughout the day, experts from Denmark and abroad will work together to address these questions – and you, as a participant, will be invited to ask questions and join the dialogue.

In other words, the day promises plenty of knowledge and inspiration. In addition, you will have the opportunity to network during the breaks and at the afternoon drinks reception, enjoy excellent catering throughout the day – and experience music and dance! The project Fod På Gulv will demonstrate how mental wellbeing can be boosted through dance.

Sign up quickly – places are limited. Participation is free of charge.

We will also be celebrating the conclusion of the international Interreg BSR project Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region, where exciting new results will be presented.

The day will be expertly hosted by Lene Johansen – journalist and presenter at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation).
