Date07. - 08. May 2025
Description
To kick off the REDIRECT project, the 9 project partner organisations met for the first time in the city of Szczawno-Zdrój in Poland. For two days, the partners got to know one another, share expectations and inputs for the project process, deadlines, coordination and goals.
The Kick-off conference took place at the atmospheric Spa House in Szczawnie-Zdrój.Â
The project Interreg Baltic Sea - Regenerative Tourism was presented to the officials and politicians of the Lower Silesian Region. A project offering a transformative approach to tourism not only striving to reduce harm but actively contribute to the restoration and enhancement of environmental, cultural, and social resources at the tourist sites.
The presentation was followed by an interesting lecture in Mega Trends by a professor from University of Wroclaw pointing towards the need for development of regenerative tourism. Â
In the afternoon the 9 participating organisations planned how to organize, and how to communicate internally to create the best possible workflow in the project.Â
During the stay – the group of participants were given brief opportunities to experience the well-kept city of Wroclaw, the beautiful nature in the region, and some of the impressive castles in the mountains of Lower Silesian. During the next three years we will strive to inspire methods and ways to focus on and increase regenerative tourism in the Baltic Sea area.
Thank you for a few intense and beautiful days in Poland.Â
