Description
The SmartAging project launches with a full-day meeting in Pori, Finland, hosted by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) under its Resource Wisdom research entity. The event gathers project partners from Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Poland to initiate a collaborative effort to improve assisted living environments through sustainable, inclusive, and environmentally responsible design.
The day combines strategic alignment and hands-on co-creation. Ideation workshops at SAMK’s Kokeilimo and Peliselli spaces focus on future-proof concepts for both private and shared spaces in elderly care. These sessions support the project’s first work package by generating early ideas, defining material and functional principles, and fostering a shared understanding across disciplines.
