Art in Social Prescribing

What if doctors and social carers prescribed art?

The 2024 Forum explores social prescribing as an opportunity to integrate culture, social and health efforts to provide holistic approaches to individual and community health and resilience.

How does such a mechanism work? What kinds of health or social problems can be addressed through social and cultural prescriptions? What is the role of cultural operators in this system, and how do they collaborate with professionals from the social, educational, and health systems? What are the experiences and results of such programs already active in other countries?

The Culture and Well-Being Forum is an annual event organised by Cluj Cultural Centre since 2018, bringing together political decision-makers, and culture and health professionals in Europe to discuss practices, opportunities for public policy and joint action with the view to activate the power of the arts for health and well-being.

Hear from experts who are pioneering with models of arts on prescription and be part of the movement paving the way to cultural welfare.

On day 2, in the session Global perspectives on the role of culture in social prescribing, our Baltic Model of Arts on Prescription will be presented by Inga Surgunte (Cesis Municipality) and Stine Keiding (Odense Kommune).
