This online training, organised within the CCC-2 project, focuses on circular procurement and how circular economy principles can be systematically integrated into green public procurement (GPP). While environmental considerations in procurement have traditionally focused on price and energy efficiency, this session highlights how procurement can actively support longer product lifetimes, reduced resource use and waste prevention.
The training will introduce key circular strategies relevant for public purchasers, such as durability, extended service and guarantee periods, repairability, reuse, and recycling. Through concrete examples and practical experiences, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how circularity can be translated into procurement requirements and evaluation criteria.
The training will cover:
The session is designed for procurement officers, sustainability experts and other municipal staff involved in purchasing decisions who want to strengthen their competence on circular procurement within CCC-2 and beyond.
